Patient Access Week

This month we recognized Patient Access Week, a time to celebrate the professionals who help individuals and families navigate the healthcare system.

Accessing care can often feel overwhelming. From coordinating services to understanding care options and communicating with providers, having someone who can guide the process can make all the difference.

At Turner Care Management, advocacy is at the heart of the work we do. We help clients and families navigate complex healthcare systems, coordinate services, and ensure communication between providers, clients, and loved ones is clear and effective.

How Advocacy Helps:

  • Supports communication between providers, clients, and families
  • Helps navigate complex healthcare systems and care options
  • Ensures care plans align with each client’s needs and goals

During Patient Access Week, we recognized the importance of advocacy and care coordination in helping people access the care and support they need.

Parkinson's Awareness

April was Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month, a time to honor the strength of those living with Parkinson’s and to raise awareness about the challenges individuals and families face along the journey.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that can affect movement, balance, speech, and daily functioning. For many families, navigating care, treatment options, and support services can feel overwhelming.

At Turner Care Management, we believe no one should have to navigate complex healthcare systems alone. Through healthcare navigation, advocacy, and care coordination, we worked alongside individuals and families to help ensure the right care, resources, and support were in place.

By continuing to increase awareness and understanding, we can help create a more supportive community for those living with Parkinson’s and the people who care for them.

If you or a loved one are navigating Parkinson’s or other complex care needs, Turner Care Management is here to help guide you through the process and connect you with the resources and support you need.

Sexual Assault Awareness

April is Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, support survivors, and work toward preventing sexual violence in our communities.

Sexual assault affects people of all ages and backgrounds. Creating safer communities starts with education, open conversations, and ensuring that survivors know they are not alone.

Advocacy and access to supportive resources can make a powerful difference in helping individuals navigate healing and recovery. By listening, believing survivors, and connecting them with appropriate support services, we help create pathways toward safety and healing.

This month and every month, we stand with survivors and support efforts to build safer, more informed communities.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available. You are not alone.

Stress Awareness

April was Stress Awareness Month, a time to recognize how stress can impact our physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

For many families, stress often increased when a loved one needed additional support, care coordination, or help navigating healthcare services. Managing appointments, understanding care options, and making important decisions could quickly become overwhelming.

Here are 5 ways to reduce stress when navigating care for a loved one:

  • 1️ Ask for professional guidance – Healthcare advocates and care managers can help navigate complex systems and resources.
  • 2 Stay organized – Keep track of appointments, medications, and important documents in one place.
  • 3️ Build a support network – Lean on family, friends, and community resources when help is needed.
  • 4 Take breaks and care for yourself – Caregiver burnout is real, and your well-being matters too.
  • 5 Don’t wait to ask for help – Early guidance can prevent small challenges from becoming overwhelming.

At Turner Care Management, we supported individuals and families by helping them navigate complex healthcare systems, coordinate services, and connect with the resources they needed. Having an experienced healthcare advocate by your side helped reduce uncertainty and brought peace of mind.

If you or a loved one need help navigating care, Turner Care Management is here to help guide the way.
