National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

This month we recognized National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month—a time to honor the strengths, abilities, and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities. It’s also a reminder of the importance of inclusion, dignity, and access to meaningful support that allows every person to thrive in their community.

Awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to better support—whether through advocacy, coordinated care, or creating environments where individuals are seen, heard, and respected.

If you or someone you support could benefit from guidance navigating care, services, or resources, I’m here to help provide clarity and coordination every step of the way.

Reach out anytime to learn more about supportive care navigation.

We are Stronger together

Nothing is better than getting out into the community, making real connections, and sharing ideas with people who genuinely care about the work they do

.

I had such a fun day co-marketing with Juliana from Dinkelbach Design—connecting, collaborating, and finding new ways to support those who need care and those who care for them.

A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us:

Casey Simon – Revere Court of Sacramento
Misty Charles – Carlton of Elk Grove
Sylvia Byrd – Bridgewood Post-Acute
Robert Reyes – Capital Post-Acute
Karen Wood – The Commons at Elk Grove

Days like this are a reminder of how powerful connection really is.

We are Stronger together

What a meaningful day at the March 2026 NAIPC Care Compass Workshop Series at the Maidu Center in Roseville.

I had the opportunity to present Memory Lane vs. Memory Loss – Navigating Dementia Care, focusing on understanding the difference between normal age-related memory changes and the signs of dementia.

These conversations are so important. Knowing what’s typical and what may require support can help families take the right next steps with confidence. I’m grateful to be part of bringing this education to our community—because this information is truly needed.

If you’re interested in attending an upcoming workshop in this series, I’d love to connect and share details on what’s coming next.

Thank you Social Workers!

Recognizing the Heart Behind the Work

This month, we recognize the incredible impact social workers have on individuals, families, and communities every single day. Their work often happens behind the scenes—navigating complex systems, advocating for those who need a voice, and providing guidance during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Social workers bring compassion, expertise, and unwavering dedication to the people they serve. They are connectors, problem-solvers, and advocates who help ensure individuals receive the care, resources, and support they deserve.

At Turner Care Management, we value and appreciate the vital role social workers play in the continuum of care. Your work does not go unnoticed—and it makes a lasting difference.

Thank you for all that you do.
